yeah that day was a blurr. This is when soreness started hitting and you still had to keep on going . We were in bed by 8 pm. I was not able to go on the hike due to some stomach problems, which meant I had to work out in the gym with a trainer. I started on the treadmill at a fast pace walk for 2 min, and then a 3 min interval run, we did these intervals for 40 min. Then for 20 min it was a 7,8,9,10 mph sprints for 30 sec with a minute recovery and then back down 10 to 7. This was followed by 30 min elliptical, 30 min spin bike and another run walk on treadmill for 30 min. Then I was dismissed. neat less to say I took enough Imodium that night to where I was sure I could go on the hike the next day.
After the 2.5 hrs in the gym Julie joined me for a stretch class where I thought I couldn't stand the pain. It was crazy, but at the end of class the muscles were actually feeling better. Due to the many stretch classes I have not been real sore, I mean everyone here is limping around, its a normal sight, but the stretch classes really help.
