Aug 3 -Day 12

This morning was my first to skip stretch class at 6 am. My stomach was really acting up (its been acting up since I got here). Anyway not a big loss since this week Jake (the yoga instructor has been out ), and the others just don't do him justice. When Jake stretches us, I feel a difference , with the other instructors not as much. They are ok and I never regret that I go, but Jake is the best. I wish I could bring him home with me.

I thought it was time to take some pictures of the food we have been enjoying.

breakfast always starts with different kinds of fruit
followed by a main meal. You can also substitute oatmeal or granola-here we have turkey bacon, eggs and for the first time since I have been here potatoes
for lunch we had a very yummy tortilla soup (actually more a bean soup but very tasty
the main dish was a chicken/tomatillo pizza with avocado slices-heaven!
dinner was a chicken sausage and rice with a roasted pepper tomato sauce
and for dessert a chocolate fudge dreamsicle-sorry ate before I thought of the picture, but you know what a dreamsicle looks like....

When it was time for the hike, I had to suck it up and  put my hiking shoes back on over the blisters and even though you limp at first suddenly you are walking again. the hike wasn't as bad as yesterday and had some cool sightseeing things (a burned down house in the middle of the mountain and a little waterfall. At least on this hike I had my favorite hiking guide Dorothy with me and we had a great chat about what she is doing to stay fit (she is an ex marine).

This is a view of the burned down house
 a pic by the waterfall
and I pic after we got back, the front of my shoes have dissolved with all the hiking, thank goodness Regina went by my house and picked another pair of shoes up. I need one pair for the gym and one pair for the hike. And fyi this pic was right after the hike.

When we got back both Regina and I chose the pool class and that was followed by lunch. After lunch we had to go to the "stay over session" where they give you your new team colors and talk about some tips as to what to expect when you are going home etc. This was followed by Disco Cardio jam-John our instructor was dressed in a wig and thought he was John Travolta JR. Anyway he showed us some disco moves after we had to do a soul train shuffle-yeah I was in heaven-NOT. Others had as little moves as I did so it was pretty funny. This was followed by a regular pool class. We were then scheduled for our last cardio circuit session but had the option to stay in the pool and play water volleyball. Regina and I decided to stay. You should have seen Regina pound that ball. it was alot of fun. AND THEN the week portion was over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now we are doing laundry and will have a relaxing night.
